Approfondimenti
Abstract: The essay focuses on the function of reading as an encounter and dialogue with authors, an experience that is going through moments of crisis in today's readers. In particular, the article deals with the relationship between reading and writing in literary practice, especially in reference to some authors of Italian literature of the past: the protohumanists Petrarch and Boccaccio and the romantic and classicist Leopardi, recalling current experiences and considerations on the dual exercise of reading and writing.
