Abstract: The paper highlights the problems the inhabitants of Goriška brda region faced after the end of the second world war with the border line closing their road connections and the connections with traditionally used market places. Presented are memories on the period before the construction of the new, modern and shorter road that was possible after the Osimo treaties, and the benefits of the new road conntection for the Goriška brda. The memories are a part of the exhibition, opened in june 2025, dedicated to the 50 th anniversary of the Osimo treaties and the 40 th anniversary of the construciton of the Osimo road, Goriški muzej is hleding in the Kromberk castle.
